2010 ARC Semillon Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from vineyards in the Adelaide Hills in South Australian.
The fruit was crushed, chilled, gently pressed, then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel vats where the wine underwent a controlled fermentation.
This year both parcels were fermented in separate vessels to allow greater flexibility when blending. Semillon form the Cunninghams vineyard at Birdwood and Sauvignon Blanc from the Samaras vineyard at Loberthal combine to produce the 2010 ARC Series Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc.
Traditionally we have uses only a small parcel of Sauvignon Blanc in the wine, however this year the blend is 55% Semillon and 45% Sauvignon Blanc. The Adelaide Hills Semillon fruit offers a mineral edge that is supported by the ripe Sauvignon Blanc characters.
An un-oaked style, displaying fresh tropical aromas undelayed by some floral citric blossom. Predominantly Semillon, the wine to show generous mouthfeel and still retains a light, crisp, fresh, clean palate.
A young, refreshing wine with lively acidity.
