GISA ARC Shiraz is made from Vineyards in the Barossa Valley in South Australian.
The fruit was crushed, de-stemmed, gently pressed, then transferred to temperature controlled stainless steel vats where the wine underwent a controlled fermentation reaching a maximum of 26 degrees.
2008 was dominated by a severe heat wave in late Feb early March which made for a difficult vintage. The resultant wine tends to be quite ripe and displays characteristics indicative of the vintage.
The 2K8 ARC Barossa Valley Shiraz is a rich full flavoured wine with good intensity & power. It is juicy and unctuous full bodied wine with generous, ripe fruit filled flavours, of plum, black currant & liquorice. Following the fruits there is a dollop of vanilla bean derived from a brace of American Oak that fills out the pallet.
True to its roots, it is a ripe, rich, full flavoured Barossa Shiraz from what has proved to be a difficult vintage.
A Wine made for imediate consumption, this wine will improve with cellaring in the short term.
